Margarete Linsay Allio


At the Law Offices of L.W. Cooper Jr., Linsay works with clients to resolve state and federal tax issues, structure and execute business transactions, and handle all aspects of commercial litigation in Federal and state courts. Linsay graduated from the Charleston School of Law in 2012 and worked for two years with a local Charleston law firm, where her practice focused primarily on business and civil litigation. Linsay Allio brings hard work and dedication to the firm.

While in law school, Linsay was an Associate Articles Editor on the Charleston Law Review. She also was secretary and vice chair of administration for the Honors Society and secretary of the Military Student Association.

Originally from southwestern Virginia, Linsay completed her bachelor’s studies at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, with a degree in history. Afterward, she was trained in the Orton-Gillingham methodology and taught grades four through eight at Camperdown Academy in Greenville. She went on to teach English in public high school in South Hill, Virginia for one year before turning her ambitions to law.
